Being absent from the fashion scene for almost three years, the designer Albino D’Amato made his come back on the Milan Fashion Week. The long break was taken as he has decided to pursue other project, but now he is back with fresh energy and structured team.
“Straight out the cold storage since the Eighties” is the proper description of the fall line that Roberto Rimondi and Tommaso Aquilano decided to go with. The women they dressed with their designs were like an ode to the stone cold power dressing. The mood and the style they worked in presented into a rigorous, contemporary, and sophisticated collection. The pieces are for strong woman, taking inspiration from the men’s wardrobe. They decided to experiment with shapes and unusual combinations.

With winter truly on its way we’re all wrapping up in something warm and cosy. A lot of winter fashion tends to feature solid blocks of autumnal and dark inspired colours, but if you’re anything like us, we get a bit tired of seeing the same over and over again. We’re excited about the new Missoni Autumn Winter range which recently featured at Milan. This collection is bold, playful and will chase away any winter blues you might be feeling.
Sashaying their way onto the catwalk this week is the crème de la crème of Italian Milan Fashion Week 2016. Nobody does glamour better than the Italians and this season, designers brought us more than enough. Collections seemed almost subdued – we saw mature and sophisticated pieces that offered classic Italian luxury that could feasibly translate from the catwalk to a cocktail bar. Where to start?!
For this coming fall/winter, Bottega Veneta’s collection evoked a bygone era in their “Ready to Wear” runway show in Milan. Models included Kendall Jenner, Jamie Bochert, Kendall Jenner, Issa Lish, and Molly Bair.
With tweeds, woolen polo necks, and below-knee hemlines taking center stage, the Bottega Veneta catwalk show encompassed a wide range of women’s fashion inspired by the 20’s and 30’s—emphasizing the feminine while marrying his designs with more modern masculine looks.
